Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced emergency department environment. This role involves the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in accordance with established standards of practice.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 3×12-hour shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating Requirement: Possible float to nearby facilities as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care to adult and pediatric patients with various conditions.
• Assess patient needs and triage accordingly.
• Utilize electronic health records (Epic) for accurate documentation and coordination of care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid RN license in South Carolina or in a multi-state/compact state.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department.
• Clinical experience in managing conditions such as CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident).
• Epic experience is required.
• Certifications Required:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support – AHA only)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• Preferred Certifications: CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Additional Information

• Travelers may need to join emergency response teams during hurricane season (June – November).
• Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• All requested time off must be included at the time of submission and will be subject to approval based on facility needs.
• Facility reserves the right to call off one shift every two weeks.
