Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro/Ortho/Trauma

Position Information

The role is situated in a 26-bed unit specializing in Neuro, Ortho, and Trauma care. The candidate will be required to work 7 PM to 7:30 AM and 7 AM to 7:30 PM shifts, guaranteeing 36 hours per week. Weekend availability is expected every other weekend. This is an opportunity to work with a dedicated team in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Unit Information

• Patient Ratios: 1:4-5 on days, 1:5-6 on nights
• Equipment: Advanced medical equipment relevant to neuro and trauma care
• EMR: Epic

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to neurosurgical patients, including those with spinal surgeries, brain tumors, and traumatic injuries.
• Manage and monitor patients with seizure disorders, VP shunts, and head bleeds.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate a proactive approach and maintain a positive attitude while working collaboratively with team members.

Qualifications

• Required Skills/Experience: Proven experience in neuro and neurosurgical nursing.
• Education: Relevant nursing degree or certification.
• Personality Fit: A proactive team player with a positive attitude is essential.

• Dress Code: Scrub color is flexible; however, maintaining a professional appearance is mandatory.
