Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift Information

Full-time position requiring evening/night shifts of 3, 12-hour rotations, totaling 36 hours per week from 1900 to 0730.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid Washington State or Compact RN Licensure.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC are required.
  • Recognized adherence to established policies and unit standards relevant to nursing practice.
  • Ability to function within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and maintain current knowledge of legal nursing aspects.
  • Must be willing to float to alternate departments as designated, including potential rotation to multiple locations within the region.

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality patient care in a compassionate manner by applying the nursing process and unit-specific standards of practice.
  • Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and perform nursing procedures/treatments as required.
  • Regularly evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness and educational needs, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Document all aspects of patient care, assessments, plans, interventions, and patient responses accurately.
  • Collect necessary patient information to ensure safe, high-quality care is provided.
  • Conduct ongoing holistic assessments of patient status and respond accordingly.
  • Determine and perform nursing actions that meet the physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs of patients.
  • Provide timely health information to patients, families, or significant others, including sharing written educational materials.
  • Maintain current knowledge of nursing workflows, procedures, and evidence-based practices.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel.
  • Engage in performance evaluation and improvement processes with management.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the healthcare team.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff in accordance with established policies.
