Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This position involves providing care in a medical/surgical unit with a specialized focus on orthopedic and oncology care for adult patients. The average patient stay is between 3 to 4 days, and the typical patient-to-nurse ratio is 5 to 6 patients per nurse.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients on the medical/surgical unit.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Assist with procedures and provide education to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Current New Hampshire or compact nursing license required.
• BLS certification from AHA is mandatory.
• Prior travel nurse experience is preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records (Epic) is essential.
• Two years of orthopedic nursing experience is required.

Additional Information

• Orientation sessions occur biweekly.
• Scrubs in any color are acceptable.
• Candidates must be separated from previous employment within the system for 6 months or more to be considered.
