ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Surgical Intensive Care Unit team, which provides high-acuity care for patients with diverse clinical needs, including General Surgery, Trauma, Transplant, and Cardiothoracic Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to a wide variety of critically ill patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and ensure comprehensive care.
• Administer medications and monitor patients for any changes in condition.
• Utilize Epic and other electronic medical record systems for documentation and care management.
• Complete a Day 1 pass/fail competency test focusing on medication knowledge and dysrhythmias.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) are required.
• Prior experience in an ICU or Telemetry setting is essential.
• Must have a minimum of 6 months separation from previous employment with the organization.
• Proficient in managing medications and identifying dysrhythmias.
