Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional respiratory care in critical settings, including the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Emergency Department (ED), and general pediatric care areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and interventions in accordance with established protocols.
• Provide patient assessments and monitor responses to treatment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and outcomes.
• Handle emergency situations effectively, demonstrating expertise in critical care environments.
• Ensure adherence to safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Pediatric experience is required.
• Extensive critical care experience in PICU, NICU, or ED is essential.
• Possession of an active state license is required at the time of application.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is mandatory.
• Flu vaccine for the upcoming season is required with no exemptions accepted.
• Must pass nicotine testing as part of the hiring process.

Work Schedule

This position requires a commitment to a 12-hour night shift with every other weekend scheduled. Candidates must be flexible and open to floating between various departments as needed.
