Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician (CVOR Tech)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will possess experience in cardiovascular surgeries and demonstrate proficiency in various surgical techniques.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform scrub and circulate duties during cardiovascular surgical procedures.
• Document equipment usage and manage surgical instruments efficiently.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Provide support during a variety of surgical cases, including but not limited to:
• Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair
• Coronary Artery Bypass Graft
• Mitral Valve Replacement
• Carotid Endarterectomy

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiovascular operating room settings is required.
• Experience in general, endoscopic/laparoscopic, and thoracic surgeries is required.
• Certified through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) is required.
• BLS certification is required.

Schedule and Availability

The position requires a 3×12 day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with occasional weeknight call responsibilities and one weekend per month on-call commitment.

Orientation will be provided every other Monday, and candidates should be prepared for a possible rotation of on-call duties including nights and weekends.

Additional Information

This position does not require floating to other units. A blocked schedule opportunity may be discussed in the interview process.

Proof of flu vaccination is required unless medical documentation of an allergy is provided.
