Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Stepdown Registered Nurse to join our team for a contract position. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients in a Stepdown or Immediate Care Unit setting.

Shift Details

• Shift: 3×12 Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Schedule: Weekdays and some weekends required
• Patient ratio: Typically 1:4; flex to 1:5 in emergencies

Contract Information

• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Length: 13 weeks, with possible extension

Qualifications

• 1.5 to 2+ years of nursing experience required
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Medical/Surgical (MS) or Telemetry settings
• At least 2 years of experience in Stepdown care
• Ability to read cardiac strips
• Certification Requirements: BCLS, ACLS

Skills Required

• IV start proficiency
• Telemetry experience

Unit Information

The Stepdown Unit accommodates patients with varying acuity levels, including those who would typically be classified as Progressive Care or Tele patients in larger facilities.

Professional Appearance

Please note that scrubs are not provided; candidates are expected to wear burgundy and/or white scrubs.

Additional Information

• Travel experience is not required
• Blocked schedules will be considered for weekend availability (Friday to Sunday or Saturday to Monday)
