Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position requires strong clinical skills and the ability to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Information

• Available Shifts: 3×12 Days or 4×12 Days on weekdays, with some weekends required.
• Ratios: Typically, a 1:4 patient ratio, with a flexible increase to 1:5 in emergencies.

Contract Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Extensions: Possible based on performance and needs.

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: BCLS, ACLS.
• Skills: Proficient in IV starts and telemetry monitoring.
• Experience: Minimum of 1.5 to 2+ years in nursing.
• Specific Experience: 1 year in Med/Surg or Telemetry, and 2 years in Stepdown units. Must be able to read cardiac strips.

Unit Information

The Stepdown Unit accommodates a variety of patients, with acuity levels that may align with Progressive Care or Telemetry patients in larger facilities.

Additional Information

• Travel experience is not required.
• Blocked schedules will be considered for weekend shifts (Friday to Sunday or Saturday to Monday).
• Scrubs: Candidates are required to provide their own scrubs, with specified colors of burgundy and/or white.
• Electronic Medical Records: Familiarity with Cerner is preferred.
