Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care in a fast-paced emergency department setting, demonstrating expertise in both adult and pediatric emergencies.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 3×12 hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-call Requirement: No

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency care to patients of all ages, including assessment, treatment, and stabilization.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic health records.
• Participate in departmental meetings and continuing education initiatives.
• Possibly float to additional facilities as needed to meet departmental needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of general emergency nursing experience, including care for both adult and pediatric patients.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
• Preferred certifications: Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
• Active South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system is preferred.

Additional Information

• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. It is advised not to confirm new assignments during this period, which runs from June through November, peaking in August and September.
• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Guaranteed hours may be affected by facility needs, which could include shift cancellations.
