X-Ray Technologist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist with experience in various imaging modalities to join our Radiology department. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality patient care in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department settings. This position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures and supporting surgical cases as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct various X-ray imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Perform imaging studies in outpatient, emergency, and inpatient settings.
• Provide care for patients undergoing portable imaging examinations and surgical interventions.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality imaging results.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using the EMR system.
• Ensure equipment is functioning properly; report malfunctions as necessary.
• Engage in department-specific orientation and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an X-Ray Technologist.
• Required certifications: ARRT and BLS (AHA).
• Experience with radiology equipment, including Siemens and Fuji.

Department Information

• Number of X-ray rooms: 3 in Outpatient (1 also serves as a fluoro room), 2 in Emergency Department.
• Average number of scans/studies performed daily is approximately 80.
• EMR utilized: Cerner; PACS system: Sectra.
• Coordination of care with radiologists; in-house radiologist coverage available during specified hours.
• Weekends and holidays are shared responsibilities among staff, with a rotation schedule.

Additional Information

• This position does not require starting IVs or involvement of Registered Radiology Assistants.
• Scrubs are not provided; the specific color code for scrubs is currently undetermined.
• Ongoing staff support will be available and includes a one-week department-specific orientation.
