Ultrasound Technologist

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist with experience in various settings, including outpatient, inpatient, and emergency environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in a range of ultrasound procedures and will be comfortable working with all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct ultrasound exams for various patient demographics, including inpatient and emergency room patients.
• Assist with occasional operating room cases as needed.
• Perform general, OB/GYN, and vascular ultrasound exams.
• Experience with ultrasound-guided procedures, such as biopsies and paracentesis/thoracentesis.
• Utilize ultrasound equipment and systems, primarily Samsung, EPIC, and McKesson.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
• Experience with all age groups, from neonates to adults.
• Strong skills in performing vascular ultrasound exams, including carotid and arterial assessments, as well as vascular Doppler studies.
• Certifications required: BLS, RDMS-AB.
• Preferred certifications: RDMS-OB, RVT.

Work Environment

• Patient ratios of 8-12 per day with 6 exam rooms available.
• Full-time position with 40 hours a week, night shifts from 22:00 to 06:30, Monday through Friday.
• No floating or weekend requirements; call obligations are not present.
• Unit orientation will last for 1.5 days.
• Scrubs are not provided; royal blue scrubs should be worn.
