ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team in a Short Term Acute Care setting. This position will require floating between various units and working weekends as per unit needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care in the ICU setting.
• Manage advanced patient care needs, including CV surgery, trauma, ventilator support, chest tubes, central venous lines (CVL), external ventricular drains (EVD), and neurosurgery.
• Conduct lab interpretation for critical patients.
• Maintain expected patient-to-nurse ratios of 1:2.

Work Schedule

This position requires 48 hours of work per week, with day shifts consisting of 4×12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00. A total of 6 weekend shifts will be required to meet unit needs.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in ICU, particularly with trauma and cardiovascular surgery cases.
• Proficiency in handling complex patient care scenarios involving ventilators, chest tubes, and EVDs.
• Strong ability to interpret lab results in a timely manner.

Uniform Requirements

Licensed nursing personnel (RN, LVN) are required to wear solid navy blue scrub attire. Scrub tops may have colored piping, but print tops are not acceptable. Unlicensed personnel must wear solid hunter green uniforms. Print tops are only allowed in designated children’s areas.
