Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role requires working night shifts, specifically 3 shifts of 12 hours each from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, with a requirement to work every other weekend.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced emergency room environment.
• Assess and manage conditions in adult and pediatric patients, including CVA (Stroke) cases.
• Utilize electronic health records systems, specifically Epic, for effective documentation and patient management.
• Possibly float to adjacent facilities as needed to meet patient care demands.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting.
• General Emergency Experience with capability in both adult and pediatric care.
• Current South Carolina RN license or a Multi-State/Compact State RN License is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required (only AHA certifications accepted).
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications are required.
• Preferred certifications include Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).

Additional Information

We are open to accommodating block schedules, subject to management approval based on unit needs. Local candidates within a 60-mile radius may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Please note that during hurricane season, all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams. It is advised to avoid scheduling new assignments during this period, running from June to November, with peak activity likely occurring in August and September.
