Sterile Processing Technician

Job Summary

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for cleaning, wrapping, sterilizing, and maintaining inventory of instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies required for surgical procedures as well as for additional departments and associated clinics. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safety and efficacy of sterile instruments used in the operating room.

Schedule

This position is scheduled for four 10-hour shifts during the day. The primary base of operation will be the Main Operating Room, with responsibilities to cover call-outs at a nearby surgery center as needed.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of three years of experience in sterile processing
• Certification as a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) is required
• Current influenza vaccination is required, with no exemptions allowed
