Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our dynamic surgical team. This position requires proficiency in a variety of surgical procedures and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a CST, you will be responsible for assisting the surgical team in the operating room and ensuring a sterile environment during surgeries.

Shift Details

• Shift: 4×10 Day shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Holiday Rotation: Yes
• Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend shift per 4-week schedule period
• On-Call Requirement: Up to 4 call shifts per 4-week schedule period

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining a sterile field.
• Prepare surgical instruments and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Work collaboratively with surgical teams across various specialties, including Ortho, Neuro, ENT, and Robotics.
• Be prepared to float between units or sister facilities as needed to meet facility demands.
• Participate in emergency procedures and trauma surgeries as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in surgical technology.
• Experience in Neuro (spines/crani), ENT (flaps), and Robotics (Da Vinci Xi) surgeries is highly preferred.
• Current NBSTSA certification is required; NCCT certification is not accepted.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Candidate must provide a radiation badge as per regulatory requirements.
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma center is preferred.

• Local candidates will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• All requests for time off must be included at the time of submission.
• Guaranteed hours will be subject to facility call-off policy.
• The operating room supports a busy and diverse surgical schedule, requiring adaptability and versatility.
• Parking permits are available for a nominal registration fee.

Please be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. We ask that travelers do not confirm new positions during this period unless there is clarity on emergency response assignment.
