Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This role involves providing comprehensive respiratory care to critically ill newborns, collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and interventions for infants in the NICU.
• Monitor and assess respiratory status, adjusting treatments as necessary.
• Perform routine equipment checks and troubleshooting of respiratory devices.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and participate in care planning.
• Educate families on respiratory care and discharge procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with current licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Prior experience in a Level 3 NICU setting preferred.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and unpredictable environment.

Work Schedule

This position offers flexible scheduling options, including 3 x 12-hour shifts or 4 x 12-hour shifts per week, with rotating shifts based on staffing needs.
