Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac/Telemetry

Shift Information

Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, with every other weekend required. No on-call requirement.

Experience Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of current/recent experience in Telemetry and/or Stepdown units. Proficiency in reading Telemetry is mandatory; competency will be tested on the first day of employment.

Certifications and Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Current Epic EMR proficiency required; refresher courses or one-on-one training are not options.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will primarily work on the 4 South Cardiac unit and may occasionally float to various Med-Surg units including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Respiratory, and Observation. This role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to adapt to different patient care environments.

It is essential that RNs in this position possess current knowledge and skills related to telemetry care, as the ability to interpret telemetry readings is critical for this role. Failure to demonstrate proficiency in these areas may result in termination upon initial evaluation or discovery of lack of required skills.
