Registered Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team within a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This role involves providing specialized respiratory care to neonatal patients.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as directed by medical professionals.
• Monitor and assess respiratory status of neonates, making necessary adjustments to interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate families and caregivers on respiratory care procedures and equipment usage.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records related to patient care.

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong understanding of respiratory therapy principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including rotating shifts as determined by staffing needs.

Schedule

This position offers flexibility with scheduling options, including three 12-hour shifts or the possibility of a 48-hour work week (four 12-hour shifts).
