Occupational Therapist (OT)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care in various settings, including adult and pediatric acute inpatient, rehabilitation, and intensive care units.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations for activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Document and justify the need for the next level of care.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Adapt to varying patient needs and conditions, including trauma, neuro, ortho, and oncology cases.
• Maintain strong verbal and written communication skills.

Working Conditions

The position requires working 8-hour shifts with a rotating schedule that includes weekends and holidays. Self-scheduling is not permitted, and all clinicians are expected to clock in and out at the facility.

Patient Care Load

• Approximately 120-150 patients treated per day across the department.
• Each therapist will manage an average of 9 evaluations and 16 treatments daily.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).
• Flexibility to adapt to a variety of patient needs across different specialties.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

Additional Information

All Occupational Therapists will undergo a credentialing process, which may take up to two months or longer. Required onboarding, including obtaining a state license, should be completed by the 2nd Monday of the month. Orientation will vary based on the individual’s skills and prior experience.

Dress Code

Solid color scrubs are required, maintaining a clean and professional appearance.

The OT team is managed by a supportive supervisor, ensuring a structured and effective working environment.
