Occupational Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide crucial support in the delivery of therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in assisting patients to develop and restore their functional independence while adhering to state and federal regulations, as well as facility guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement therapy interventions as outlined in the Occupational Therapist’s plan of care.
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist in patient and family education regarding therapy processes and expectations.
• Communicate patient status and progress to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and compliance protocols at all times.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active state Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license or the ability to obtain one.
• Strong teamwork skills and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
