Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in Cardiac Telemetry to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and be committed to providing high-quality patient care to adults through to geriatric populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients with conditions such as post-myocardial infarction (MI), heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, and peripheral vascular disease.
- Administer peritoneal dialysis and monitor patients using telemetry, EKG, and Doppler techniques.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective communication and execution of treatment plans.
- Utilize the Epic system for patient documentation and management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role; first-time candidates are accepted.
- Must hold current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
- Patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5 in a unit with 16 beds, maintaining an average daily census of 16 patients.
- Navy blue scrubs are required as part of the uniform.
- Floating within the facility is expected as needed, adhering to the scope of practice.
Schedule
- Night shifts consisting of 3 twelve-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.
- A maximum of 7 days of time off (RTO) is allowed, with specific blackout dates during spring break.
- Commitment to work 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week scheduling period.
- Major holiday shifts will be required as per the schedule: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day.
Compliance
Full compliance with all required documentation and certifications is necessary to start on time. Non-compliance can result in a delay of up to 2 weeks due to orientation scheduling.

- Candidates will undergo a clinical screening to ensure clinical fit, which, upon passing, will lead to a final decision by the manager.
- Local candidates are accepted and will receive the same compensation rate.
