Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Telemetry

Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiac Telemetry team. This position involves providing care to adult and geriatric patients with various cardiac conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; first-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS.
• Experience with post-myocardial infarction (MI), heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, and peripheral vascular disease is preferred.
• Familiarity with peritoneal dialysis, telemetry, EKG, and Doppler is essential.
• Proficiency in Epic is required; experience with Pyxis and SBAR is desirable.

Work Environment

• Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 5 patients.
• Unit capacity: 16 beds with an average daily census of 16 patients.
• Scrub color: Navy blue.

Scheduling and Availability

• Required to work 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule period.
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed.
• Blackout dates for RTO include Spring Break (April 4th-12th).
• If a major holiday falls within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays occur, working both is expected. If three major holidays fall within the period, the traveler is expected to work two.
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Years Eve/New Years Day.

Compliance and Screening

• Full compliance required to start on time; non-compliance may lead to a delay in onboarding.
• Candidates will undergo a clinical screen to determine fit. If the candidate passes, they will proceed to the manager for a final decision.

Additional Information

• Floating may be required within the facility as needed and within the scope of practice.
• No call requirements.
• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers.
