Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to support our Thoracic Surgery unit. The position will involve 12-hour shifts, requiring flexibility to work day or night schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage patient care in telemetry oncology, cardiac, and progressive care units.
• Provide care for patients requiring ventilator support and those who have undergone transplant procedures.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality care and improve patient outcomes.
• Complete telemetry assessments and respond to patient needs in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin RN license or a compact RN license required.
• Experience in telemetry oncology, cardiac care, and IMC/Stepdown units is essential.
• Familiarity with ventilator management and transplantation is mandatory.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) are required.

Testing Requirements

Candidates will be required to pass a telemetry assessment prior to being cleared to begin the position.

Schedule Details

• Shifts: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM).
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, with every other weekend and some holidays required.
• Alternative scheduling options may include 4x12s or block weekend shifts (Friday to Sunday).
