Oncology Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

An opportunity is available for an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse to support our ports/injections clinic. Candidates may work either four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts, with Fridays likely being a day off for those working four days per week.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy medications to patients.
• Provide high-quality nursing care to oncology patients in an outpatient setting.
• Utilize IV skills effectively in the administration of treatments.
• Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records using EPIC systems.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• 3+ years of recent outpatient oncology or medical infusion experience required.
• 1+ year of outpatient nursing experience required.
• Certification in ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy completed, with a current certificate required.
• Proven IV skills are necessary for this position.
• EPIC training and experience is mandatory.

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
