Oncology Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse to join our outpatient ports and injections clinic. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outpatient oncology and medical infusion, as well as excellent IV skills.

Schedule

This position offers flexibility in scheduling, with options for (4) ten-hour shifts or (5) eight-hour shifts. If working four days a week, Fridays will typically be a scheduled day off.

Responsibilities

• Administer outpatient oncology medications and intravenous therapy.
• Provide patient education regarding treatments and manage side effects.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Current RN license with oncology certification.
• Completion of the ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Course with current certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent outpatient oncology or medical infusion experience.
• At least 1 year of outpatient nursing experience is required.
• EPIC training is mandatory for this role.
• Strong IV therapy skills are essential.
• BLS certification is required.
