Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The Neuro ICU is dedicated to providing specialized care for critically ill patients with various neurological conditions. Our team works closely with patients experiencing neurotrauma, status epilepticus, stroke, and spinal cord injuries, among other complex comorbidities and multisystem organ involvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the Neuroscience ICU.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing necessary interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of strong critical care nursing experience is required.
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience is required.
• Preferred: 2 or more years of experience in Neurocritical care nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Active nursing license with verification of credentials is required.

Schedule

Full-time positions available for 36 or 48 hours per week. Options include straight nights or a day/night rotating schedule. Expectation to work every other weekend and every other holiday.
