Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to join our nursing team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality care to patients. As a Med/Surg RN, you will work in a fast-paced environment, assisting with patient assessment, care planning, and implementation of nursing care.

Shift Information

• Shift: 12 hours, nights (7 PM – 7 AM)
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Rotating weekends and holidays required

Holiday Coverage

Holiday coverage is required as part of this position.

Minimum Experience Requirement

A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Med/Surg Registered Nurse is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on the medical-surgical unit.
• Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Develop and implement individual care plans for patients.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and care plans.
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation of patient care.

Qualifications

• Valid nursing license in the state of practice.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred but not required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
