Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and be adaptable to various situations within the operating room environment.

Shift Details

• Shift: 10-hour shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift Timing: 10:45 AM – 9:15 PM with rotating days off
• On-call: Required on a rotational basis, with a response time of 30 minutes

Unit Information

• Total OR Suites: 19
• Average Cases Per Day: 55-60, approximately 1000 per month
• Certifications: Required BLS and ACLS certifications
• Electronic Medical Record System: Meditech
• Orientation: One week of floor-specific orientation
• Common Types of Cases: Full-service facility, excluding major pediatrics and transplants. Functions as a level 2 trauma center.
• Scrubbing Required: Preferred but not mandatory for RNs

Qualifications

• Minimum Years of Experience: 2-3 years in a relevant setting
• Required Certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Travel Radius: Candidates must reside within a strict 75-mile radius from their driver’s license address
• Skills Checklist: Must accurately reflect experience and proficiency; candidates must be flexible and reliable

The operating room team operates with a high emphasis on reliability, good attendance, and punctuality. Candidates are expected to demonstrate basic competency across a variety of services.
