Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Summary

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) will work in an outpatient setting, providing high-quality rehabilitation services to patients. This role involves assisting licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans and ensuring that patients receive effective care to enhance their mobility and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists with patient evaluations and treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic exercises and treatments to patients under the direction of a physical therapist.
• Monitor patient progress and report findings to the supervising physical therapist.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises and care strategies.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation as required.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and clean treatment environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Physical Therapy Assistant license in Massachusetts.
• BLS certification required.
• 1+ year of experience as a PTA preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Working Conditions

This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, focused on outpatient care. Shared housing will be provided at no cost for eligible staff.
