Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Neuro ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. This role will entail providing exceptional care to critically ill patients with various neurological conditions.

Position Overview

The Neuro ICU is responsible for caring for patients with complex neurological diagnoses such as neurotrauma, status epilepticus, stroke, and spinal cord injuries, often accompanied by multiple comorbidities and multisystem organ involvement. The unit features a clinician-to-patient ratio of 1:2, ensuring a supportive environment that promotes optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the Neuro ICU.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, making timely and appropriate clinical decisions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with facility policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care nursing experience required.
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in Neuro critical care nursing is preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Valid nursing license with current certificate verification.

Schedule & Expectations

• 36 hours per week with rotating day and night shifts.
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required.
