Interventional Radiology Technologist

Job Overview

The Interventional Radiology Technologist plays a vital role in assisting Radiologists during various interventional procedures. This position involves scrubbing beside and coordinating the operational activities in the procedure room, as well as managing the scheduling and coding of procedures. The technologist will also be responsible for post-procedure film processing, charting, and billing related to cases and supplies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Radiologists during interventional procedures.
• Coordinate the procedure room and manage equipment during cases.
• Handle scheduling and coding of procedures effectively.
• Conduct post-procedure film processing with accurate documentation.
• Manage billing for cases and supplies used during procedures.

Equipment Utilized

• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) – Epic
• Sectra PACS
• Toshiba Interventional Radiology Machine
• Siemens Ultrasound Unit

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Interventional Radiology.
• Current certifications: ARRT (R) and BLS Certification.
• North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (NDMIRT) registration required.
• EPIC experience is preferred.

Shift Information

• 8-hour day shifts, with the potential to complete ongoing cases if required.
• On-call duties approximately 10 days per month, with variations depending on scheduling.
• Floating to other departments, such as Cat Scan, may be necessary.

Additional Notes

• All clinicians are required to badge in and out at the facility.
• Scrubs will be provided in Ceil Blue color.
• Candidates must indicate if they have previously worked with this organization, with a note that a six-month gap is necessary before reapplying.

Training and Orientation

Comprehensive training will be provided, including EMR training and equipment protocol reviews to ensure staff are well-prepared for their roles.
