PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in recovery room nursing and a strong background in an academic medical environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and comfort levels following surgery.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families regarding post-operative care and recovery.

Schedule

This position offers a rotating schedule consisting of day and night shifts over a 36-hour work week, with an expectation of occasional weekend shifts (up to 2 per month).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience.
• At least 1 year of travel experience in a PACU setting.
• 1+ years of experience in an academic medical center environment.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
