Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Job Overview

Join a dedicated team of healthcare professionals in an adult/geriatric Medical-Surgical unit. This position involves caring for patients with a wide variety of medical and surgical conditions, while managing complex patients with multiple comorbidities and providing both pre- and post-operative care.

Schedule

• Full-time nights: 3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts, 19:00 – 07:00)
• Rotating holidays and weekends are required
• No block scheduling available

Patient Care

• Patient ratios: 1:5–6
• Caring for a diverse adult and geriatric patient population with complex medical conditions and post-operative needs

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical RN experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience is required
• Ability to independently interpret cardiac rhythms
• Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license in hand at the time of submission
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience with MEDITECH system is required

Essential Skills

• Strong assessment skills are essential
• Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients effectively
