Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a Float Pool position. The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, as this role requires floating to multiple units within the organization.

Position Details

• Shift Requirements: Days, Evenings, and Nights; rotating shifts with every other weekend commitment
• Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac function, including telemetry monitoring, reading cardiac strips, and managing cardiac drips.
• Float across multiple medical-surgical telemetry areas within the facility.
• Care for a diverse patient population, including ED border patients and non-vented patients in the ICU.
• Maintain a patient-to-clinician ratio of up to 5:1 during the day and evening shifts, and up to 6:1 during night shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of acute care hospital experience.
• Must be willing to float to 8 different units, including Davenport 5, Davenport 7, Davenport 8, Davenport 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, including measuring intervals and interpreting strips at regular intervals.
• TR Band experience is preferred.
• Active Massachusetts RN license required.
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
