Registered Nurse (RN) – MS/Tele

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Med/Surg Telemetry to join our dynamic team. This position involves providing quality patient care in a fast-paced, high-volume environment within the MS/T, IMC, and ER border settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population with a variety of diagnoses, including complex admissions from the Emergency Department.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond proactively to changes in status.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float between ED borders and extend to MS/T and IMC units as needed.
• Adhere to all protocols and guidelines, maintaining high standards of practice.

Work Schedule

This position is for night shifts, specifically 3×12-hour shifts starting at 19:30 and ending at 08:00. You will be expected to work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid registered nurse license in the state of Maryland.
• BLS, ACLS, and CPI certifications are required.
• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required; first-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Patient Care Environment

The average daily census involves a minimum of 10 borders, with fluctuations up to 40 borders daily. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6, ensuring adequate attention and care for each patient.

Additional Information

The role involves working in a highly collaborative and demanding setting, making the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment essential.

Scrubs will be royal blue, in alignment with departmental standards.
