Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse to assist with ongoing needs in an emergency department setting, specifically focusing on ED Boarding. This role offers flexibility in scheduling, with options for a 3×12 Day/Night rotation or Straight Night shifts.

Shift Details

• 3×12 Day/Night rotation (4 weeks of each) or Straight Nights available
• Every other holiday and every other weekend requirement
• Orientation available during the weeks of September 14 and September 28

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients experiencing emergency conditions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor and assess patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with healthcare standards.
• Assist with the discharge process and educate patients and families about ongoing care needs.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Previous experience in a medical/surgical or emergency department setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications may be required based on specific role requirements.
