Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to assist with Emergency Department (ED) boarding needs. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ED, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting any changes in a timely manner.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.

Schedule and Orientation

This position requires a commitment to a rotating schedule consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week. Candidates can choose between a day/night rotation or straight night shifts. Orientation is available during the weeks of September 14 and September 28.

Qualifications

• Current RN license to practice.
• Previous experience in medical/surgical nursing is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification is required; advanced certifications are a plus.
