Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to patients and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care in a 34-bed medical-surgical unit with telemetry capabilities.
• Monitor patient conditions and implement care plans effectively.
• Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient information accurately using the Cerner EMR system.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Work Schedule

Position includes night shifts with a 4×12-hour schedule from 19:00 to 07:00. Weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license with verification.
• BCLS, NIH, and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing.
• Previous travel nursing experience is not required but is a plus.

Patient Ratios

Staff-to-patient ratios are 1:5-7, ensuring that nurses can provide personalized attention and care.

Additional Information

This role has clear attendance expectations, with only 2-3 call-offs tolerated during the contract period. Candidates should be aware of this policy before applying.
