Vascular Access Team Nurse

Job Description

The Vascular Access Team Nurse plays a crucial role in managing vascular access for patients. This position requires expertise in ultrasound-guided IV techniques, with additional preference for candidates who possess experience in Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICCs). Nurses in this role are essential in ensuring patient safety and optimizing vascular access interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound-guided IV placements.
• Assist in the insertion of PICCs as required.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide optimal patient care.
• Monitor patients for potential complications related to vascular access.
• Educate patients and families on vascular access procedures and care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with an active nursing license.
• Experience with ultrasound-guided IV placements is required.
• PICC experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to work every other weekend.
