Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse for our Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). The position involves providing high-quality care to patients with various diagnoses in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Information

• Unit: Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)
• Common Diagnoses: Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory (e.g., COPD, DKA, Sepsis, Myocardial Infarction, CV stepdown, post-operative care)
• Specialty Equipment: Temp pacer, Chest tubes, Arterial lines, BiPAP, Neptune Vapo
• Ventilators: Experience with chronic ventilators and working with Respiratory Therapy for patient assistance
• Patient Demographics: Adolescent to adult patients
• Number of Beds: 64 beds, including 15 designated Neuro beds

Shift Information

Shift hours are from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. While block scheduling is not guaranteed, flexibility and willingness to float to other units as required are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IMCU or PCU required
• Active New York RN license with all necessary RN license verifications
• Current certifications in AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• EMR Experience required: EPIC
• RTO must be included at the time of submission
