Emergency Department Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in emergency care, including pediatric experience, and possess the necessary qualifications to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide care to a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
• Operate specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
• Manage a variety of patient diagnoses, including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
• Work collaboratively within a 64-bed emergency department, which includes triage, acute care, super track, trauma, and psych units.
• Float between various units as necessary and respond to SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) cases.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting with pediatric exposure.
• Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC.
• Active New York Registered Nurse license and verification of all RN licenses via NURSYS report.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.

Schedule:

The position requires availability for shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with block scheduling not guaranteed.
