MRI Technologist

Job Description

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety. This position requires expertise in operating the MRI equipment, maintaining patient comfort, and adhering to all safety protocols.

Shift Schedule

This is an overnight position with the following schedule:

• Sunday: Off
• Monday: Off
• Tuesday: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Wednesday: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Thursday: Off
• Friday: Off
• Saturday: Off

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Active license/certificate verification required.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the MRI Technologist include:

• Performing MRI scans as directed by physicians.
• Preparing patients for MRI exams, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort.
• Positioning patients correctly for optimal imaging results.
• Monitoring patients throughout the procedure for any adverse reactions.
• Maintaining and cleaning MRI equipment and surrounding areas.
• Maintaining accurate records of procedures performed.
