Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical – Neuro

Job Details:

This position is for a specialized Neuro Unit. Registered Nurses will work 12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15, with the option of 36 or 48 hours per week. Longer contracts extending through 2027 are available.

• Shift: 12 hours from 18:45 – 07:15
• Float required
• Every other weekend required
• No more than 7 days of Requested Time Off (RTO)
• Must be able to work holidays
• Patient Ratio: 1:6

Responsibilities:

Registered Nurses will be expected to provide high-quality care to patients in the Neuro Unit, manage medication administration, document care activities, and communicate effectively within the team.

Qualifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification required
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• Neuro nursing experience required
• First time travelers are accepted
• Must pass EKG Testing prior to start

Unit Information:

The unit utilizes the following systems for medication, documentation, and communication:

• Pyxis
• EPIC
• SBAR

Orientation:

A comprehensive 24-hour orientation will be provided for all new staff members.

Uniform:

Scrubs should be Navy Blue.
