Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dialysis Registered Nurse to join our Outpatient Dialysis unit. This role is essential in providing high-quality dialysis care to patients, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the treatment process.

Shift and Schedule

The position requires 12-hour shifts, with work scheduled three days a week including every other Saturday. The facility is closed on Sundays.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments before, during, and after dialysis treatments.
• Perform dialysis treatments and manage patient care effectively.
• Complete interdisciplinary assessments and develop care plans.
• Utilize B Braun Dialysis Machines and other equipment safely and efficiently.
• Participate in department orientation and training on policy practices and medication administration.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2.5 years of recent dialysis nursing experience.
• Experience in an Outpatient Dialysis Clinic.
• Active BLS certification from AHA.
• Active RN license in ND or a current Compact RN License.
• CNN or CDN certification is highly desired, but not required.
• Experience with EPIC systems is preferred; please indicate this in your resume.

Work Environment

The unit features 32 dialysis stations, and the nurse-to-patient ratio will typically be 1:4, supported by either a float nurse or a charge nurse.

Training and Orientation

New hires will receive comprehensive training and orientation specific to our department, covering the water system, dialysis equipment, and key practices to ensure high-quality patient care.
