Obstetrics Registered Nurse (OB RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Obstetrics Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role involves providing comprehensive care to patients in the obstetrics unit, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for mothers and newborns.

Unit Information

The OB unit consists of 4 beds, providing a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio during labor and a 1:3 ratio for postpartum and nursery care. Nurses in this unit will utilize electronic medical record systems such as EPIC, Pyxis, and OBIX.

Job Requirements

• Full-time commitment with 36 hours per week.
• Rotating shifts of 12 hours, encompassing both day and night schedules.
• Every third weekend requirement.
• Possibility of floating to Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) unit when the OB unit is closed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in obstetrics, specifically in postpartum/nursery and labor and delivery.
• Current certifications required: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
• Med-Surg unit experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Additional Information

No call requirements. Nurses will have the flexibility to choose scrub colors based on personal preference.
