Pediatric Inpatient Pharmacist

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pediatric Inpatient Pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide pharmaceutical care and ensure the safe and effective use of medications for hospitalized pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret medication orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness for pediatric patients.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient pharmacotherapy.
• Monitor patient responses to medications and recommend adjustments as necessary.
• Educate healthcare staff and patients on medication use and related concerns.
• Prepare and dispense medications accurately and timely in accordance with established protocols.
• Participate in medication safety initiatives and quality improvement projects.
• Stay current with pharmaceutical advancements and guidelines relevant to pediatric care.

Schedule

This position involves a night shift schedule of 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a 7 shifts on / 7 shifts off rotation.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
• Valid pharmacy license in the applicable state.
• Proven experience in inpatient pharmacy practice, with a focus on pediatrics preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
