Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Neuro ICU Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. The Neuro ICU specializes in the care of critically ill patients with a variety of neurological conditions, including neurotrauma, status epilepticus, stroke, and spinal cord injuries.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced Neuro ICU environment.
• Monitor and assess patients with complex neurological conditions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Deliver high-quality nursing care while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and care pathways.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care nursing experience.
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience preferred.
• 2+ years of Neuro critical care nursing experience is preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Active nursing license with verification.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including straight nights or day/night rotations.
• Availability to work every other weekend and every other holiday.

Unit Information

The Neuro ICU comprises a clinician to patient ratio of 1:2, accommodating up to 24 beds with current patient census at approximately 22. Our team is dedicated to providing specialized care for adults experiencing complex neurological issues.

Work Schedule

This position offers flexibility with scheduling options available for 36 or 48 hours per week, focusing on straight night shifts or day/night rotations.
