Medical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position is focused on providing high-quality care in a dynamic cardiology unit, specifically designed for patients requiring telemetry monitoring.

Unit Overview

This is a 24-bed Medical Cardiology unit specializing in telemetry and cardiac care. Our team handles a range of procedures, offering post-cath care for PCI, ICD, PPM, ablation, and more.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips to ensure patient safety and effective management.
• Administer cardiac drips as per clinical protocols and patient needs.
• Provide comprehensive post-catheterization care, including management of TR bands and femoral access sites.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care and optimize outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN License.
• Current certifications in AHA BLS and ACLS.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, particularly in a Telemetry setting with a strong cardiac background.
• Proven ability to interpret telemetry strips and perform necessary interventions.
• Experience working as a travel nurse is preferred.

Work Environment

The RN to patient ratio is 1:5 during the day shift and 1:6 during the night shift, ensuring optimal care for each patient.
