CVOR Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and qualified CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 18 months of recent nursing experience, with a preference for experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). This role will involve scrubbing and circulating during open heart surgical cases.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the surgical procedures by providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in the cardiovascular operating room.
• Scrub and circulate during open heart cases, ensuring the sterile environment and proper use of surgical instruments.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any changes to the surgical team.
• Maintain accurate records of patient care and procedures.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge in cardiovascular nursing.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Minimum of 18 months of recent nursing experience, with a focus on CVOR preferred.
• Experience in scrubbing and circulating open heart cases.

Schedule

This position offers a day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with potential on-call requirements discussed during the interview process. Flexibility to cover weekends and holidays is also necessary.
